Local not-for-profit groups, organisations, sporting clubs and service providers can apply for grants of $1,500.
Each year the funding provided to recipients helps make many wonderful projects and programs within the local community possible.
Torquay Community House was one of the successful 2024 Community Fund recipients.
Activities & Marketing Coordinator Erin Krusic-Golub said the assistance has helped their work in a lasting way.
“The generous support of the Ashbury Community Fund continues to support the delivery of our monthly free Community Lunch program, which is a highlight of our calendar!
“We have upgraded kitchen equipment to allow us to cater for even more members of the community – we’ve catered for 200 lunches in the first half of 2025!”
Applications open: Friday, 1st August
Applications close: Sunday, 31st August
Not-for-profit groups applying must offer a service within the postcodes 3216, 3217 and 3228.
All successful applicants will be invited to a presentation evening to be scheduled later in the year following completion of judging.
Since its inception in 2018, the Ashbury Community Fund has awarded almost $170,000 in funding to a variety of worthy recipients involved across all facets of the community including sporting groups, schools, cultural organisations, senior citizens groups and health-based services.
The Community Fund initiative was inspired by the vision of Dennis Family Corporation Founder, Bert Dennis, as a way of giving back to the communities that the company creates.
