“Late 2026” – Excitement building for the Armstrong Creek Sports Centre
Development Victoria tells us that construction work for the new Armstrong Creek Sports Centre is progressing well.
Here’s the latest from their project team.
What’s happening at the moment?
Roofing works have been completed and crews are now installing external wall paneling.
The project is well into the construction phase, with all major structural and roofing works now complete.
While internal works are less visible, teams will be busy installing sports flooring, equipment, change rooms and other facilities.
Once the walls, louvers and windows are installed, works will move inside for internal fit-out. Externally, construction will continue on the plaza and surrounding roads, including the Main Street extension.

Road closures in the coming months?
No road closures are currently planned.
Anticipated opening date? Will there be a party?
The centre is expected to open in late 2026, and yes, there will be a celebration!

When complete the centre will include:
- four indoor multi-sport courts
- civic plaza with outdoor activation spaces and open areas
- a café and gathering space
- car parking with electric vehicle charging stations
