Iona College Geelong

Ashbury residents have access to a Catholic Coeducational Secondary College on their doorstep following the opening of Iona College across the road from the estate.

Students are coming to Iona College from as far afield as Little River to the east and Meredith to the north. Many of the 2020 and 2021 intake reside in the Torquay and Surf Coast region, whilst local enrolment from the Charlemont / Armstrong Creek area is anticipated to experience a huge increase as Ashbury and other nearby communities continue to develop over the coming years.

Oberon High School

The new campus at 163 Batten Road, Armstrong Creek, welcomed its first students in Term 1 2021 and caters for growing demand for education in the southern Geelong region. It forms part of the new Armstrong Creek Education Precinct, located right next door to existing Armstrong Creek Primary & Specialist School, delivering quality education from Prep through to Year 12, all in the one location. Students and staff will are able to share in new learning communities, a science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) building, an administration building and library, food technology building, a gymnasium with two competition-grade courts, performing arts space, sports field and four outdoor play courts.

Geelong Lutheran College - Armstrong Creek

Geelong Lutheran College Armstrong Creek, established in 2009, is a co-educational Primary and Secondary school offering education for students from Prep to Year 12.

Geelong Lutheran College St John’s, Newtown was established in 1962 to provide a quality education for the people of Geelong in a Christian family environment. The St John’s Newtown campus is centrally located in the Geelong CBD and delivers a dynamic, engaging and holistic curriculum catering for the developing needs of learners from 3-year-old Kindergarten to Year 6.
