You may have noticed a fluctuation in water levels in the wetlands area alongside Horseshoe Bend Rd. These are due to construction works currently being undertaken at Ashbury and will continue from now to the end of May 2019. The works relate to the construction of a temporary drainage facility, south of the wetlands reserve, and an upgrade to the drainage pipes running under Horseshoe Bend Rd. The temporary drainage facility is to provide additional drainage capacity until the Council Sparrowvale wetland system is complete.
It’s all good news on the civil construction front for purchasers of lots in Stages 8 – 11. Construction of key infrastructure works are now well underway; water and sewer works have been completed, and preliminary works on roads have commenced, along with curb and channel works underway in Stages 10 and 11 and early in the New Year for Stages 8 and 9.
With all works on track to be completed by May 2019, purchasers can look forward to receiving titles and settling on their lots in June.
Adding to Ashbury’s appeal to young families, a new playground in Stage 9 is also expected to be completed in April next year. Surrounded by River Red Gums, the playground will feature an assortment of play equipment, suitable for children of ages, as well as a shaded picnic area – making it the perfect place to relax and make the most of outdoor living at Ashbury.
With great winter weather, our construction team have been busy. Purchasers in Stages 4 to 7 have received their titles and we’re expecting our first residents to call Ashbury home in the coming months. Victoria, Australia – Works on the delivery of several key areas of infrastructure at Ashbury estate in Armstrong Creek are under way, including major upgrades to Boundary Road at the intersection of Ashbury Boulevard. Also being carried out is the installation of street lighting in Stages 1-3 of the estate, the laying down of new water mains and an upgrade of the existing fibre optic network. This critical work will ensure the completion of the first stages of Ashbury on program.
'Construction on Stages 1, 2 and 3 is nearing completion with only compliance testing of services and final pavement layer works outstanding. All services have been installed, including electrical and communications cables, street lights, water and sewer reticulation, and drainage connections. Street signs are currently being installed and asphalting of the roads will commence within the next couple of days.
